‘True Grit’ was about demonstrating resilience at all times but particularly during a downturn.

Richard Edward was recognized, particularly for the organisations robust response to a series of challenges and unplanned events between 2002-2011.

It’s amazing to be recognised for the hard work and effort that continues to be invested in Richard Edward by everyone in the company. This ensures that our resilience, flexibility and adaptive structure is able to respond to the ever-changing business climate.

Louisa Moger, Marketing Director said; “Continued uncertainty in the economy means that trading conditions are very tough at the moment and we have learned to learn from experiences as to how to respond to the challenges and unplanned events to ensure that we strengthen the business year on year. Decision making with little visibility is difficult and requires careful consideration to ensure successful outcomes for the future.”

David Critchley, Cisco UKI director of Small and Medium Enterprise, said: “The winners of the Business Heroes Awards are testament to the fact the UK is full of thriving and innovative SMEs of all shapes and sizes. From technology to sustainability, international expansion to successful start-ups, the quality of this year’s entries has been outstanding and it’s great to see these businesses not only rise to their own individual challenges but thrive in the wider context of a truly testing marketplace. We want to extend our congratulations to them all!”
